Let’s lower the bar to anything that’s blown my mind for good reason at any point.

1. Values & Identity
   1. Your future value system is up to your present behavior.
      1. Build the social network which will reify your ideal value system.
   2. Identity is determined by social feedback loops.
      1. Similarity in social experience creates similarity in personality space.
   3. Stability feedback loops capture your identity, where it will move until it hits a feedback loop that reinforces a particular identity at which point it will stabilize.
2. Abstraction
   1. Heights of Abstraction. Ability to describe vast amounts of territory & knowledge with a single word. Thinking at varying levels of analysis.
   2. Proper representation enables transfer, which is the core of all knowledge. Consilience, the Unity of Knowledge
   3. Overfitting, Excessive Height as Dangers of Abstraction in Thought
   4. Similarity at the core of abstraction quality, abstraction creation, associative learning
   5. Representation. The deep impact of a change in representation on problem solving, understanding, problem tractability.
   6. Composition is at the center of every major representation and system.
3. Power of systematicity
4. Reference Dependence
   1. How you feel about everything is mostly about your standard / expectation.
5. Most practical limitations are psychological.
6. Projection
   1. Your impression of the limitation of all thought is the limit of your thought.
   2. Every philosopher writes his way of feeling into the world
   3. Perception can differ dramatically across people.
7. Every psychological pattern can be thought of as occurring in all people, and so has dramatic effects at scale.
8. Memes / memetics. What survives is either useful or what is interesting, exciting, moving the emotions.
9. Evolution.
   1. Dramatic shaping of any optimization process by its utility function.
