This is here to discuss the fundamental narratives that people desperately love to be validated over, regardless of whether the narrative is grounded in truth or not.

  1. I am special
    1. I’m loved for reasons that are specific to me
    2. We are special
      1. My species (humanity) is superior to others
        1. We have traits (consciousness, life, suffering, etc.) that makes us special
      2. My tribe is superior to others
        1. I am part of something special
        2. And by association I am superior
      3. My relationship is unique
    3. My life is important / significant
    4. I am in the know
    5. I have qualities nobody else has
    6. I am the most important thing in this world (because for all of the data I’ve seen, it’s true - I am the only viscerally experiencing thing)
    7. Two types - narrative that I’m special because I make myself special, or I’m intrinsically special
  2. Objective Truth of their Values, Sacred Beliefs
    1. Of the principles I believe in
    2. I worship the true god
    3. The way I measure what has value in the world
    4. My version of reality is the real version of reality
      1. The narratives that I feel are fundamental to the experience had in reality
  3. Everything Having a Purpose, Having a Reason

    1. Excuse my / their failure
    2. Validate my / their successes
  2. Present
    1. Rocks at my / their enemies
    2. Associate with winners
  3. Future
    1. Imply that my / their goals are achievable
    2. Ally fears that I / they can’t accomplish them
